Bridle Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated: May 18, 2026
This page is a working draft pending final legal review. The principles below describe how the Bridle marketplace operates today; the formal terms will follow the same structure and live at this same URL.
Acceptance
By creating a Bridle account or using the Bridle website or mobile applications, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old to use Bridle.
What Bridle is
Bridle is an online marketplace that helps buyers, sellers, and transporters of horses find one another. Bridle is not party to the sale of any horse. Sales and shipping agreements are made directly between buyers, sellers, and transporters; Bridle facilitates discovery, communication, and certain paid features (listing upgrades, transport quote routing) but does not take possession of horses, broker contracts, or guarantee outcomes.
Your account
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including the accuracy of information you provide.
- Keep your password secure and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You may not impersonate another person, create accounts for another user without their permission, or use multiple accounts to evade restrictions.
Listings and content
Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of every listing they publish, including health and soundness disclosures, breeding and registration claims, photos, and pricing. Bridle reserves the right to remove listings that violate these terms, our content policies, or applicable law.
By posting content (listings, photos, videos, messages, reviews) you grant Bridle a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the marketplace.
Prohibited use
You may not use Bridle to:
- List horses you do not own or are not authorized to sell
- Misrepresent a horse's health, breeding, age, or soundness
- Harass, threaten, defraud, or discriminate against other users
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent fees by directing buyers off-platform
- Scrape, copy, or republish listing content for use on competing platforms
- Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the service
Paid features
Bridle offers paid listing upgrades (featured placement, homepage hero, boosted ranking) and may offer subscription tiers. Pricing is shown at checkout. Charges are processed by Stripe; refunds for completed promotional periods are not guaranteed and are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Transport quotes
Buyers can request transport quotes from independent transporters listed on Bridle. Bridle does not vet, license, or guarantee transporters. Quotes are estimates from third parties; final shipping arrangements are between the buyer and the transporter directly.
Disclaimers
The Bridle service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the content posted by users is accurate or complete.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bridle is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the service.
Termination
You may stop using Bridle at any time by deleting your account in settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, if the changes are material, notify registered users by email.
